tremulous bug. please help!!!

when I try to spawn it says wait till build timer expires before you change teams I'm not even building and this happens

game/cgame mismatch maybe?  I seem to recall something like that.  Some details would be nice.

bad pk3 could be a vm i think i have had this a few times with tjw vms in home base try deleting some recent pk3's in your homebase folder

nah it's not that I have gone into other servers and it they worked fine but this one has less ping and is faster

Which server?

If its unpure then you either have to clean out your install or just find a server with a competent admin.
