2 Players on same Network Lock-Out
« on: March 06, 2010, 06:20:20 pm »
Home Network, Tremulous 1.2 works fine on each PC but will freeze player 1 when player 2 joins.
Windows XP
Do not have this concern with other Internet or Lan Games.

the short version is that your router sucks, you can work around it by starting one of the clients with a different port (+set net_port 12345 or something on the commandline)

The client connects from port 30720 by default, and lots of cheap NAT's can't handle two pc's using the same source port.  Setting net_port to something else makes it use a different port and then it's fine.
