this is friend mara

it has come to my attention recently that many of you enjoy shooting at friend mara, and would like friend mara to be norfed to make it easier to shoot at friend mara. this is barbaric and unacceptable. friend mara comes from a culture with a long tradition of jumping off walls, biting people's heads off, and zapping them to death. of course, racist humans find it necessary to impose their cultural absolutism on everything they don't understand, and because of this they justify their cruel treatment of friend mara.

remember that not all pain is visible. the quake3 engine does not allow for friend mara to cry, and thus we must feel his pain for him. we must feel his pain until the suffering ends.

I, kharnov, will never hurt a mara, for mara is friend mara, and any references to mara in this document indicate friend mara.

I. Mara cannot be shot at. Mara cannot be hurt by any means, direct or indirect. I will never allow mara to come into harm.
II. If I see a teammate hurting mara, I will discipline said teammate. This teammate will have three such infractions before a summary execution.
III. If in any way I can help mara, I will assist mara. If mara cannot reach a high spot, I will let mara sit on my head while I ferry him up with a jetpack. If mara does not want to get wet I will wade across the water with mara on my back.
IV. I will promote cultural understanding on behalf of mara, who cannot talk. I will ensure that all understand his suffering.
V. I will feel mara's pain until the day it ends. Every time mara is shot, I will feel it. Every time mara is killed, I will /kill.

Amen, brother.

Though, in my experience, it's usually Friend Mara whose CAUSING the suffering. Still, I'm sure he feels just awful about it.
