Yeah, it's off topic, but there are always restrictions on moderated forums. This really isn't a big deal, as I knew you weren't trying to spam. But I've seen lots of spam on other forums that is very similar to this post, such as "vote for this please" or "check out this product". And seeing as how I don't think you know most of the people on this forum, it can be seen as spam because you are asking for random people to help your cause.
