Small download speed

Hello. Please help me.
My download speed ingame is very small and it is usually about 10kb/s. It could be at least 23 times better. What should I do?

I mean downloading maps etc. from servers of course. And I'm playing new version of Tremulous (GPP).

In the download prompt click "download from website" not "download from server"
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

But will it download files ingame or minimize game and open the browser?

Ingame.

It's just a crappy set of options, what the options should say is "Download fast" and "Backup slow way if the server op fucked up and the fast way failed".

anyway:
1. are you sure you have all the .pk3 updates?

2. are you sure your computer is fast

3. consider upgrading your graphics card (not on laptops)

4. I hate laptops

You shouldn't have to do any of that stuff.  As long as you select "download from website" it will download a lot faster.

ah, if you aren't running the GPP, set sv_autodownload to 1.
