Biggest "WTF" moment you've had in tremulous.

I was on AA and Aliens just couldn't win. I mean all night, no matter what we tried, we were the "Fail-iens".

Finally, on like the 20th game, I had a clear shot at the RC while rants were keeping the humans busy. I hopped my Mara-ass on top of that bad boy and I took it down. I even had time to take out the arm before the remaining humans showed back up.

Humans were fucked...

And then the admin starts bitching how it was this nube who grenaded his RC and arm, but it was bullshit. The other guy says no, it was a Mara and I say "yeah bitch, replay it!"

So he pauses the game and, sure enough, it was just me all by my lonesome tearing their base up. But the admin, he just says "WTF ever" and rebuilds the arm and RC on pause.

Humans rush while we're all recovering from OUR rush, and wouldn't you know it:The humans fucking won.

But I counted it as a personal victory. After all, it was kind of flattering to have an admin get so frustrated by my noob-Mara skills that he has to pause and rebuild his RC like a bitch.

For me, my biggest WTF moment is when I discovered the aliens' pain sounds when they're close to death. There I was, guarding the base on ATCS with my Lasgun, watching as a guy with a chaingun almost killed an Advanced Marauder... It gave the baby-like scream that signalled it's fate was sealed, so I leaped in to join the action in order to score a cheap kill... They had a forward base outside and a guy with a luci had heard it as well... I recieved both a hive to the face and a luci ball to the ass... And the mara got away...

I would have to say my biggest WTF moment was when I was walking down the hall of Arachnid2 in front of human default. I was an unarmored human and didn't know what was going on, but had the sense of mind to shoot at things that weren't human... Well a goon pops out of nowhere at the end of the hallway, just as I'd rounded the corner. He was so far away that he couldn't even reach me in one pounce, but I didn't know that and began to back up. Shooting as I did so. Well just as the goon is pouncing, a dretch falls from the pipes above, directly in line with the pounce; and is punted from the front of alien defaults entrance, too the other side where I am standing, oblivious to the dretch. I was reloading and wondering why the goon stopped short in mid-air when I heard the dretch taunt and was hit straight in the face before I could do anything.


I just sat there for a couple seconds after I died going "What the fuck? How...?"

Anyway, this happens WAY too much on AA. Pub servers should flash a warning saying "if you are noob, DO NOT BUILD UNLESS UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF ANOTHER (non-noob)PLAYER!" I can't tell you how many times a fun well-balanced match was ruined by some hapless n00b who built barricades or some other useless shit when you only have one spawn left and humans are about to rush again.

Or worse, some super-virgin deconner...

-Trapping 3 human players under a ledge in UTCS as construction kit.
-Destroying the entire human base in Karith as Advanced Granger without any humans noticing using only granger spit.
-SD. ATCS. No Nodes. No arm. Aliens S3, most rant or goon. 5 Humans standing on RC with Battlesuit and Lasgun.

Biggest WTF for me, here goes.

I Played Trem non stop a few years ago. Then I stopped for a while because I got busy with work and things. I come back to it recently and now we have RTD and all kinds of cheats. I think the dynamics of the original Tremulous will be lost because of these cheats. Then Trem is hardly worth playing.

That happened to me earlier on my server. Had an md, wasnt zoomin or anything. All of a sudden my camera was in the md, and those guys had no heads or guns. Any idea what that was all about?
