European promod show tournament.

Finally me and my clan-friends can proudly announce the European promod show tournament (EPST).
This tournament will be based on our promod, you can call it anti-camp mode as well, the point of it is to show that this mod can be really enjoyable.
We will invite only the best european teams for now is it :

Clans invited:

(eVo) : skilled, old clan who took part in the first edition of promod. //invited
lp' : we as the creators of this idea, and as a clan who can show something more than just a camp. //invite accepted
ddos : skilled ppl with a tactic sense //invited
Xenocide EU division : the newest clan from the rest. For sure they have a skill, a tactic? We will see...//invited

The teams will play with eachother, on the servers which can host up to 20 players, first server will start today/tommorow and its called EPST#1 where you can test the new
nano map.. EPST servers will have no-cheat mode, we think that this should work, so no THZ users allowed, no wh users allowed etc. There will be three servers, first
will be hosted in Germany, 2nd in France, 3rd in Poland.

Some history now.. the first promod idea was created few years ago by french team called (CY), in their competition took part clans like (eVo), [F]lame, themselves, lead , and
=V=. This teams said that is nice idea.. so why not to continue this? Few years later me and my team can show you this.
This promod is littlebit different from the previous one, we hope that he have more action inside. All settings will be previewed soon.

nano (we think its good idea, because its something new than ATCS again)

secret map (this map will be specially designed for this tournament, and showed 3-4 days before it starts)

Idea of creation belongs to CY team, we have just make it new, different a littlebit more of action.
Its similiar to domination where you need to capture somepoints to win a game (to grab a point you need to just touch it)
When you camping, enemy team which is holding the point is getting for example free evolution points,credits or stage up. The gameplay is much depending on team skill, tactic, because now sitting in the base and just waiting for a mirracle is uselless. We are making a FAQ right now which will be posted here and on our IRC channel.
The alpha tests are on EPST#1 server in Tremulous 1.1

We are sure that some of you will hate this idea.There will be a lot of ppl which will be saying that it wont work and other blablabla without trying it.
We are not going to as you to try it, and we are not asking you to join this tournament.Now we just want to promote this mod and show how much playable is Tremulous with this.

Finally EPST#1 server is online! (dont worry about pings, its just a test serv). If you want to test our promod, play there. Soon we will launch EPST#2 and EPST#3.

Promod is antycamp mode for Tremulous 1.1 and Tremulous 1.2 It's based on Redman's qvm, and specially designed for scrims, and competitions. Main rule of this thing is : ''dont camp man''.

Basic rules :
To win your team need to destroy the enemy base. On every map you can find control points (cp : flying reapters on the map), for example at the ATCS map, there are two control points (one in the tunnel which is giving you after capture next stage per time, and one at the bunker which is giving you free evo/credits per time. You can reach next stage from cp's or by the standard way, killing enemy team.
To capture the point you only need to touch it, its not necessary to camp in this area, but be ware enemy team can touch too! After touch, countdown will begin, for next stage you need to hold the point for 4 mins and for evo/credits you need to hold it for 2 mins
If enemy team will recapture your point there is no need to cry, because countdown wont start from the beginning. That will be all from the basic rules.

Match size : 5v5
Game time : 30 mins
Sudden death time : 25 mins. (buildings like armory etc. are not rebuidable)
When this all will begin? : This summer, we hope if all will be good we can start 24.06.2010
There will be any judges? : For sure they will, at the moment we are planning to create 4 persons team which will be controlling the game, server will have antyhax mode, but we want to be sure that there is no hax0rs playing.
Dates of the matches : soon.
Website : There is no need to have a normal website for our project, there will be only posted dates of scrim, promod FAQ, and results.
