In an effort to (hopefully) help spur interest in Tremulous clan leagues, I am offering free servers for four clans.
If you *need* a clan server for practice and don't mind the server residing in Los Angeles, California, I am offering 4 clans the oppurtunity to have a 10 slot server. It can be public or private (password protected) depending on what you would like.
Your clan leader will have rcon access to the server but that is all -- there will be no ftp access, ssh, remote connection, etc. Please familiarize yourself with the rcon commands and TJW's mod commands. I will not provide tips/hints/answers for adminstrating your server.
I am offering this absolutely free but only to clans who are:
- Going to use it often
- Are not going to get 500+ pings to the server
- Are mature and dedicated Tremulous clans
- Have at least 6 active members
If the server is inactive for 2 weeks without notifying me with a reason it will be shut down. Further, if the server is abused in any way, shape, or form by your clan members it will also be shut down.
Please have your clan leader send an email to sinning at gmail dot com. I would prefer it if you would list me the following information:
Your age
Your location (i.e. Washington, Texas)
How many clan members you have (6 will be the minimum)
What your clan members names are on this forum
What I need you to do in return:
- Have all your members register on this forum. I will check their ips to ensure they are individuals and not just one person registering 6 accounts and pretending to have a clan.
- You will be required to put 'Sponsored by #Armageddon#' in your message of the day.
ALSO
Connect to #Armageddon# L.A. to test out your clans ping. Make sure you are happy with the connection before asking me to set up your clan server.
Again, the point of this is to hopefully help build the clan community a little further.
