Pretty much done with idea feedback, unless some bugs show up, no more partisanism. I thought I'd drop some comments, feel free to retort or add your own.
*** For quite awhile I was dissatisfied with the dretch, but now, contrary to some belief, I think it's more potent than the original. I've seen it blatantly missused, though, and some users get quite frustrated. I'm in the process of writing a mini-guide about it, assuming it doesn't change. I really like the increased speed, that was something much needed.
*** I notice that many (even experienced) players will reactor hop with any alien, and let themselves keep getting damaged by it while they swipe. This is silly. You merely have to hold down the swipe or chomp key, while jumping up and down rapidly. After a moment, you'll even start to regenerate your health while you kill it. Try it, works with every class, and even in situ's where you can barely fit ontop of the RC.
*** Teslas can fire down through their base to a target right under them. I don't mind, but I wonder if that's intentional. Rets can't, but if hives can then I guess it's fair.
*** Though it hasn't changed much or at all since 1.1, I don't like the Mass Driver. Nothing about it particularly, but it seems out of place at s1. Kill two dretches, and you've got one. They deal quite a bit of knockback it seems, I can tangibly feel being slowed down mid-pounce when an MD round hits me. I think it would be better for it to be s2, but I'm not serious about it.
*** Shotgun seems useless, I think it deserves more knockback or something.
*** Pounce works very poorly on stairs or inclines, you have to remember to aim extra high or your pounce won't fire at all.
*** I have had very bad luck with tyrant trample damage not getting applied. Do I have to aim my crosshair right at the human, or does it suffice just for them to be anywhere in the way?
*** You can follow a pounce or trample with a very fast swipe attack (almost seems like an exploit). Once your pounce or trample hits, let go of the move forward key (you must have been holding it down up to now) and quickly hit with slash. With practice, it almost gets to be like a one (really two) hit kill on most human targets.
