Mod idea: Simpler Tremulous with Teamwork.

Request For Comments about a mod idea: Modified tremulous to make it simple to learn and hard to master.

 - automatically update to advanced class, withouth evo consumation.
  * granger -> adv granger
  * basilisk -> adv basilisk
  * goon -> adv goon (make adv goon hull == normal goon size)

 This change "remove" 3 classes, so make the game much simpler, but dont remove features.

Teamwork features:
 - adv basilisk cloud work/look like the flametrower
 - adv basilisk cloud give booster to other aliens
 - medikit is area of effect (heal you and other humans near)
 - batery recharge you and your teammates (area of effect)
 - tyrant battlecry give alien quad damage (area of effect, to enhance teammates)
 - adv goon battlecry give aliens booster damage (area of effect, to enhance teammates)
 - builders can repair BS
 - builders can reload medikit and batery
 - builders include a timed "demo charge" (big explosive grenade you drop on your location)
 
 
Enhanced buildings:
 - repeater include tiny tesla effect
 - acid tubes launch acid grenades
 - barricade include a trapper area of effect

This mod will use the actual ( jul, 2006 ) tremulous gameplay. So eggspam will be still posible.

So your saying you want to make it where you have 3 classes of alien that automatically after stage advancement will become more advanced versions?
What about humans?
Does this include eradicating dretches?
If you don't try to balance out the humans, this is going to become VERY lopsided...  especially since repeaters would have a tesla effect.
The absence of classes of alien would really make parts of the human team too strong.


How would the advance basalisk cloud work on a FF server?
How can you have a tyrant battlecry without tyrants.
The battlecry idea is sort of neat, but basically later on all goons etc are just going to be doing it constantly and there will be a neverending assault of poison aliens coming.

Battery should reload itself.. recharge over time.. maybe as the human moves around, to encourage them to.. move around..

I don't see how the timed demo charge has any advantage over a grenade... In fact its a drawback because a basically unarmed builder has to walk out somewhere where they are expecting aliens and place it.

How do aliens, or biological tubes, make grenades?
