admin.dat troubles [Solved (for now)]

i made myself admin lvl 5 on my server, but i can't even use !admintest

I've tried to add the commands but it always seems to reset itself

Remove the GUID... Also if you are trying it in 1.2, then admin commands no longer have ! at start.

I meant remove your GUID from the first post..... Is your admin.dat in <fs_homepath>/<fs_game>/ ? I'm not sure, but maybe remove the [admin] block entirely and reset the level through console? Or just copy the flags from lvl 5 to it.

In your server.cfg, are you defining admin.dat to be the place your store your admin data?

checked the path and it's pointing to the right file... but anything i add to admin.dat seems to get deleted

iv'e tried manually adding the flags, but still nothing

When you use /listplayers from the console, does it display you as an admin?  For the current map (the one you were setleveled on) and the map after that?

odd, when i use the old-style flags it works flawlessly..

i am using the tremded from tremfusion... thought the flags had to be spelled out :/

oh, and it did show me as admin when i used !listplayers


now i just need to find what letter mean what... a tutorial maybe? lol
