Hi, I am running tremulous server on a dedicated box (datacenter) : cpu via C7 2GHz, 1024 Mo RAM DDR-2. But I got loss problem with some maps : nexus6, marsbase etc
The cpu utilisation rise to 90%(top, user process) and players got loss (big yellow ramps in lagometer) and they are flaming me :(

I cutted down the number of slots to 14 players but it s inefficient for nexus6 and marsbase. Anyone got a clue to fix the loss ?

cpu via C7 2GHz equals ~500-700MHz Pentium 3
you have been served my friend :]

Hey Greudin!

Not much you can do, I guess. I have a 2GHz Celeron and have the same problem with Karith and Nexus6... If you do find something to speed things up, keep me informed.

2GHz celeron P4 on SDRams and VIA chipsed motherboard ? :) almost same as C7 :(
those are garbage bin products

C7 is not supported at all by the current linux kernel (compiled in my box as a c3) but performances can be improved compiled as a 686 (SSE instructions improves the all thingy).
