hi ive got the latest netradidant. I have found that i am missing numerous important textures. such as: skyboxes, slicks, and even ladder textures! (i mean, how do you make a map without a ladder!!!) Also half the maps i have currently downloaded dont even show up in the texture list! Can someone please help me gain every single texture possible? This will help me heaps and finnaly i can publish some great maps.
Thanks!

So you have kartih textures EXCEPT solidslick, ladder, skybox etc... :o

If you really want to have every single texture possible you might have trouble finding enough space  :-\

Well if you can't find a texture in a texture folder you're bonned.... furevar!

surfaceparm ladder

Really not enough information to diagnose the problem though. Where are you getting these textures from?

A Spork

Ladder textures are invisible ingame....
So it doesn't really matter if you get a notex texture in the editor...

If I read you correctly, you didn't put the Tremulous support files into the "base" folder (http://ingar.satgnu.net/gtkradiant/files/netradiant-tremulous-support.zip). NetRadiant, GTKradiant, doesn't matter, same files.

The Textures of the downloaded maps you're not seeing: Well, I use Windows, and on my system, there are only the standard maps in the game installation "base" folder. All other maps are somewhere in the user path in another "base" folder. Radiant does not see those maps. If you want to use those textures in Radiant, move those maps into your game installation "base" folder.

And it is not like "CreatureofHell" insinuates: To use the textures, you don't have to unpack the .pk3 files.

Emperor Jack

yes i do have the karith textures except those missing ones. I will get those support files and then place them in the installation base folder along with all my maps etc. I found the other map files recently after clicking on a icon called "compatibility files" while i was in the installation trem folder.
Good to see draz and god on these forums too!

= even more space if you keep the .pk3 files  :-\

Oh, and I was referring to every game in existence too.

Dude, when you click on ATCS in NetRadiant, so that all textures and shaders are shown in the texture browser, you don't have "skybox_s" right after "rust_2"?

And this mapping tutorial explains, among numerous other things (most of which you probably know), how to add textures to Radiant. It's a long read, though: http://tremulous.net/wiki/Mapping

EDIT: It's in this section: http://tremulous.net/wiki/Mapping#make_a_shader_and_a_texture

Emperor Jack

nope, after rust2 is sparkle_blue lol. I really need them!

The texture browser has its own menu. There's an item called something like "show shaders", so activate that. Also, there's an item called something like "show all", you should try that in addition. It shows every texture/shader that had been loaded during the current editing session so far. Also, there's an option in the texture browser menu to hide everything that is not in use on the current map, deactivate that. If you already have tried all that, then it's an installation issue (can't help with that).

the show shaders and show all didnt work XD
