Selecting upgrades on Mac OS X and 3rd person camera

I read about this bug somewhere, but now I'm experiencing it. If I buy the jetpack, I can never select it. I'll select my second weapon, then see the next upgrade's name flash where it would usually go for a second, and then I'll bounce back to my first weapon. I hope this hasn't been asked/answered...

And another question: I saw the 3rd person camera in the trailer, this is probably some simple console bind, but how do I do that?

By the way, my name on Tremulous is >}Claw{<, also.

For third person, you need cheats enabled on the server.
This thread has some info in it:

Thanks for the thread, but my own server blocks me out. When I do cg_thirdPerson it says that it's protected by sv_cheats. Suggestions?

yeah, its at the end of that thread i posted. You have to do
/devmap mapname
to enable cheats and then enter
cg_thirdperson1
via console.. of course replace mapname with the real map you want to play..

Yeah, it's been answered, but the answer is burried in some spammy threads.  This is a PPC-only bug that can't be fixed until the next official release of Tremulous.

To workaround this open up your console (type the ~ key).  And enter the following:

/bind j itemtoggle jetpack
/bind n itemact nade

From that point on, you can hit the j key to turn you jetpack on and off and n to throw your grenade (m is already the default for medkit).

Great, thanks! They said something about binds, now I know what they mean.
