It's my firts map which work

It's a really little map without any possibility to hide himself.
You have only 1 way to survive:
enter in the arena.



I don't arrived to make real screen because I'm using a mac.

I don't say this to flame you, but I think that this map is a case meant by the "releasing your maps" sticky posting (http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?topic=6593.0).

Do note that you may be bashed and flamed from all sides if you release work which doesn't show any work going into it. Box maps, unplayable maps, severely glitched maps are examples of this. These will all get you to be yelled at. And the moderators don't care.

PK3 layout is ok (I think the usual Mac overhead files can be forgiven). The big black spot in the middle of the arena might be design. But what about the gap between the doors and their walls? And overall, it's a small and cheap map layout, which is not necessarily wrong, but then it should have considerable decorations or some special functions etc.

Overall, I think you should release such a map in a forum which doesn't already have a high mapper level. Here, it's a bit misplaced, I think.

Also, there is a golden rule: Don't release your first map. Ok, this rule is kinda stupid if one would unconditionally follow it to the letter, but you get the picture. And I think it applies here.

It's my first working map but it's a cool map to.
not that amazing beautifull but why noone had the idea to create a so little arena map ?
Now tremulous have a little arena map.

Try it in a real game and not in test and tell me if I should delete it after.  ;)

And if you keep it as it is, well, I don't say nothing to that. Mappers got their own ideas, concepts, gimmicks and so on.

If you want to improve it, I would like to share idea to you. I did drawing of it, so you would understand my idea. (professional paint use :laugh:)

And room gots all sorts of boxes and so on, so it would be more interesting to play and build. If you do that, you might create interesting map, atleast with its desing.

I've followed your indications and I've edit the map to obtain something bigger.

yes the circles is the map of the map
and yes the three circle at the center are TremArena

but I get some problems to run the map

In fact I don't arrive to make it work, Because I don't know why it don't work.
When I run the map in sv_pure 0 the game quit.
I don't have any leaks so can you help me ?

I think I fixed the most important ones, that didn't allow to work. Here's link for your fixed maps.

In pic Error1, there is two doors with no brushes. They were bugging.
And pic Error2, gots two info_player_intermission. Removed the second one. Remember you need only one to work.

If you got errors, use L to see entity list. Check those which are the leftovers, and cause to Trem to quit.

I suggest to check these out for proper mapping techniques. I advice to watch these, before starting mapping.
Brain's mapping tutorials. Very good way to learn basic mapping.

And once you learned these, check these too, for more info.
This gots all sorts of tutorials and advanced mapping techniques, as well some sounds, textures etc.

And when to go for fancy stuff, take this as an inspiration.  :)
They seem pretty to me.

Yes I've seen the func_door at the center of my map but I did'nt arrive to delete it or them.
And I don't really know why but I forgot to deselect and I duplicate some objects unwittingly.

Well my next idea is to make some thing like the pokemon stadium in super smash bros melee & brawl.

I don't arrived to make appear the md3 model I've download because I don't arrived to make appear this little options

I've found this diagram for program a elevator with buttons

the terrain transformation will work like an elevator but with only one button
I want to do that : a player press the button, the terrain go up and pass trough the ground, after 5 mintutes the terrain go down.
How do I do ?

What are the button target, the terrain target, and any details.

But I want to update Tremstadium to 2.5 with the ground transformation but it doesn't work, the buttons don't work in tremstadium 2.0 and I can't compile Tremstadium 2.5

In fact I don't think I have the level of mapper to do this.
If someone help me and add the ground transformation, I will add his nickname before mine on the levelshot and in the credits.

Look at the maps like rotcannon or treecannon, they are big openned space but the alien can win too.

If they active the terrain transformation the can beat the humans

I want to add md3 in the map too. Like cameras, big screens and some statues to create more interessting places.
But I've explain before why I can't. So I need your help.

Yeah but rotcannon is not 100% full area, yours is, its impossible to survive with dretch without hiding places, rotcannon has them too..
