Voting Help
« on: July 08, 2010, 09:18:07 am »
I'm pretty new to the game. I was hoping someone could answer some questions in regards to voting.

Certain voting options I don't understand. When I call for a 'next map' vote it tells me I didn't select a next amp to change to... how do I choose what map I would like? I don't see any place to choose.

I have a similar problem with kicking players. I select the bastard but it then asks me for a reason. After half a sec the message disappears. How do I select the reason?

I've looked everywhere for an explanation but so far none are forthcoming.

reasons was added to make it easier for admins to verify that the kick is valid unfortunately the UI doesnt have a way to add it

to use callvote kick open console(~ key) and type /callvote kick <playername | ID> -r Troll alot of servers have support for it on 1.1 so its a good thing to know unfortunately the server you are on requires it

not sure about nextmap im guessing its the same thing vote changed and the UI didnt and its not a bug that the trem devs have done its just improvements done to the server to make things easier

The next map vote would be like this: "/callvote nextmap map_name-b4" You can also add a reason to it if you wish (the server may not support adding reasons).

Some servers have !listmaps. A command that displays a list of the maps contained within the server's /base folder. If the server doesn't have that, then you can also see a list of maps by pressing "Esc" and clicking "Vote", "nextmap", etc.

Ya you can pretty much type "-r blah blah blah" and add a reason for anything, wether its a kick, mute, or just a poll.
