Starting servers is already too easy, which is the problem.  Once sort by ping is default hopefully all the shitty server will die as their gaming the list won't work.  IMO all home-hosted servers should be dropped from the list >_>.

And you can already do team kick votes.  /callteamvote kick.

@Servers: Maybe starting servers on windows(on linux crap. on mac holly crapolly lolliez and da stuff=impossible(except tjw). Maybe every trem community could start server and it would show in master srv list. All homestartedretarded servers wouldn't show. And all problems witth chinese flood of trem servs will be gone.

So how we can say it to devs they should use it(idea) while programming server part?
This: Dear Sir/Ma'am, the Community wants to get rid off unused servers, because Tremulous Community is dying out and just 2 Officials(servers) will be useful with THAT amount of players?

You mean starting servers on windows? Yes It Is, but on Windblows.

Short tutorial of starting servers on Windblows Linux and Mac:
1.Windblows
Open Tremulous, press Play button with LMB and then Create Server also with LMB. Then have fun with settings and press Create. DONE

2.Linux
Linux guys, I won't flame you–your karma says your servers are used for compiling/rendering/responsible playing of Tremulous (Delete unnecessary) DONE

3.Mac
Damm. Most hard one. It Never succeded on my mac:
sorry Lakitu7 – your QVM doesn't fit me(my mac)
and:
sorry MG – your tremded doesn't fit me(my mac)

Only mac exception is TJW but i wonder he's real one(his server not him).

Greg, did you know 99% of homestarted servers are on Debian or Ubuntu?

Every server named "Tremulous 1.1.0 Server" in the 1.1 master server list is running on Linux.
There aren't as many anymore, but there used to be on the upside of 60 at a time running.

Also, the method you spoke of for a server on Windows is only for LAN and will work fine on any system. Even Macs.
As far as I know, they still have to manually set the heartbeat to 2 and port forward to get it to show on the master server list.

Set up any serv using standard method. I searched for up-to-date QVM and tremded and again it does not work.
I tried to start servers using terminal and again. An error. And NOONE on the forum helped me.

I'm a bit desperate, and then one moron calls me his name. This can make someone frustrate.

If you can't figure out how to setup a server, then you don't have the need to run one. It isn't difficult. There are plenty of guides on this forum. The setup is more or less the same as on Linux, I would assume, as they're both *nix-like OSes.

I didn't tweak my server files at all.
I just clicked 'Create Server' > 'Settings' > 'Start Server' or something like that. It gave me a server console. Done. Yehoo!
