[solved] Demos are going in to the wrong folder

I used to be able to record demos just fine but now I noticed that my demos are going to homepath\mod\demos instead of going to homepath\base\demos.
I can still watch the demos so it's not that big of a deal but I use Volts hud which has a built-in demoplayer.. so the problem is that the demoplayer expects the demos to be in homepath\base\demo and because the demos are not in there the demoplayers shows a blank screen. :/ any ideas how I could fix this? btw I use tremfusion

They'll go to the folder of whatever mod you are playing.
