Base ideas:
 - [DONE] Builders can build anywhere.
 - [DONE] Repeaters available at S1.
 - [DONE] Repeaters dont need reactor.
 - [DONE] Mini-tesla defense on repeaters
 - [DONE] Grangers dont need overmind.
 - [DONE] Alien radar fadeout
 - Hives available at S1.  ..?
 - Grangers can eat grenades and not die ..?
 - Tyrants can build  ..?
 - Mara can wallwalk ..?
 - Builders can repair with "grapple",so can repair and move and maybe fight. ..?
 - Grangers can health with "grapple", so can do good on first line ...?
 - Humans can use teles to ...teleport to next tele.
 - Builders can repair battlesuit
 - First builder spawn as battlesuit
 - First granger spawn as tyrant.
 
random:
 - Human builders can build alien eggs
 - Supressor (a turret that create sounds that fuzzy aliens, something alike that Half-life2 has to force ant-lions go away)
 - Mara evolution to Adv Mara is free
 - Basilisk evolution to Adv Basilisk is free
 - Tyrant kick-back, no more blocking
 - Dretch can drop "acid demo charges" to kill structures
 - Autorepair, 5 BP devide that will autorepair buildings on near area.
 - [DONE][OBSOLETE] Basilisk can shot swarms

Granger that can eat grenades: the grenade will explode, the granger will die, but will become a static entity, a "mine" with granger model.

I agree with above poster, the mini-tesla-repeater is ok, the repairer is pretty good, the rest are....... eh?

He just suggested that Dretch's can drop "acid demo charges".
Otherwise known as what they use to ... help ... grangers lay eggs.

Notice how it has a tail and horns and moos. It also looks a bit garbled.

So would most subscribers of Mutantboy magazine.

A fun modification on the granger nade idea would be to make it a basi thing(yes something useful) and have it able to reset the nade counter and spit the grenade back.

I don't get the egg thing.
Free evolution is good.
Acid demo sounds bad.
Mini-tesla I have heard before and never liked... where is the mini-acid tube?
Tyrant kick may lead to a new level of annoying... but people seem to forget goons get blocked too..
Granger idea... is AWESOME!

I like the Granger idea; it could be implemented into the normal game too, if the Granger just exploded. The Granger could save important base structures by eating the grenade and then running away from the base, possible even into humans! Then BOOM granger spit flies everywhere, dealing 1 damage and possible poison damage if the Granger touched a booster (along with the normal grenade damage of course).

I just don't see why the Granger should survive; IMO would be more fun if the Granger exploded.

Maybe to alert other players that the Granger is about to explode, the fat lump on the Granger could feature a blue glow.

If the Granger gets shot, the grenade would just explode over its dead body.

If the Granger could spit the grenade back out and/or reset the grenade timer, it would be too overpowered. It would be just like someone throwing a grenade in the middle of the human base (which usually ends the game).

Edit: This isn't a Fruitcake idea - would be pretty realistic actually. Aliens should be intelligent enough to eat a grenade and run away for the safety of the other aliens. But I agree that eating a grenade and then not exploding is a fruitcake idea.

MMmm yeah, what about human have a weapon that can summon an alien picked randomly next to the guy? So the humans can camp next to the turret and make a real slaughter.

What about if humans could build an egg on top of a telenode to make it spawn infested humans? (a la Starcraft).
Then those humans will be acid and poison resistant, or some kind of kamikaze walking bomb.. or something

Of course, aliens will need something to counter this, an alien that pwns of course. Could be one with the hability to jam turrets. Not a strong class, but it disables any turret in a certain range.

These 2 units will make stage 4 end really quick, the first team that attacks will probably win.


[i know, some crazy ideas there, but it kindof xplains human hability to build eggs :P]

Grangers that eat grenades and spit them back at the humans along with some thick slime that makes it stick to them? Make it so the slime interferes with the grenade timer and adds a random number of seconds (1 to 10) to it. The human might get lucky and manage to shake the grenade off before it explodes, or the granger might get unlucky and uberexplode.

Anyway, where are the tyrant-spitting dretches? ...and I want my reactor-gun! They're in the webcomic so why aren't they in the game?!

This can be a feasible modification: Tyrant-Pregnant

The first player that connect to aliens is the tyrant. The tyrant can lay eggs, and the eggs evolve to aliens. No aliens base. Eggs can spawn 5 aliens, then degenerate and self-explode. Obviusly the tyrant can lay eggs much faster than builder can build ...or the game will be too slow.

Other aliens can evolve to Tyrant-Pregnant, so can lay eggs. But Tyrant-Pregnant need 9 evos.

The reactor gun is a nice idea, the gameplay will be hardcore trough, and will need special maps, so sorry... I am programmer, not mapper.  I have already played a game with "gun that shot ridiculous big things" and whas lotsa fun, total chaos.

If grendades are so easily thwarted, then they should be a) cheaper and b) you should be able to carry multiple ones. Only fair.
