Did you ever actually *dream* of Tremulous???
« on: July 29, 2010, 01:16:35 pm »
Okay, people, it's enough - I dreamt of Tremulous last night. I shall not play for at least a week...

I was in the human team, must have been some kind of unlimited buildpoint-server, don't know which map, I built a quite descent base somewhere, and then buggered off to go kill alien stuff. After some roaming around, I finally even found the overmind - we were still stage 1 - and there it was, around tons of tubes and eggs, me, my rifle, full ammo, and I finally started shooting at the center of alien power in the game ... when a call reached my that our base was under attack. And when I eventually got there, our base was nearly gone, the last remnants hardly being defended by a bunch of idiots who rather kept shooting themselves than the enemy, and who actually did not do any effective defense at all. A feeling of anger about the stupidity of my teammates, and a terrible sensation of being left alone due to their sheer incompetence...

It is really getting on to me. I think I'll make a break. I think I need it.
I have retired from Tremulous. Definetely. If you play a game just because it has become a habit, but u'r only feeling like a kindergarten teacher - well, maybe I am just getting too old (hell, I was a teenager when DukeNukem3D was *new*) - it's probably not a bad idea to just let it be. And I do.

Don't take this personally. Have fun, guys.

Yup. I have had several Tremulous dreams. Of building bases, and of seeing lots of (small spider sized) dretches, but those were only Trem elements. I didn't really experience a Trem game.

Yeah. I have.

Mine probably tops the weird Trem dreams.

Granger Sex Dream. No, not even kidding. Legitimately, I dreamed about it. It was fucking weird. Don't bother me about it.

No, but I once fell asleep listening to "Life On Mars?" and dreamt I was in 1973.

One night after playing a lot of tremulous, I had a normal dream, but everywhere I went there were blue dots around the edge of my vision. It was freaky.

I remember the fact that I have had several, but I do not recall what happened in them.

I do a lot, it either means you're playing too much, or enjoying it when you play =p
If you wanna take a break go ahead, but seriously haven't you ever had a dream about a movie you liked/got you scared?
It's the same type of thing except it means you're nerdy, which isn't always bad.

After Crava's post, I don't feel so weird anymore.

Thank you internet, for always being able to top me on the "fucked up o-meter".

Oh man... I had a dream of that damn game again! It was in Karith, in the room of human default base, on the bridge to the human backdoor room, there were some alien buildings there. The map was not 100% authentic tough, there was a gap in the floor where you could look down to the floor below, which was much farther below than in the real map, however, through the gap I fired at a trapper on the side of the wall below me, when I retreated, because I had this feeling that an enemy player was nearing. So I jumped back to default room, and for some reason there was a (nonfunctioning tube) sticking on the wall I jumped on, just to be away from the bridge when an alien would come to attack.

The enemy player was actually a girl, short, blonde hair, who had a rifle too, for some reason, and just stood there, going mental, and I was standing on my acid-tube, about five meters away from her and thought, hell, why is she telling me all this?, it doesn't have anything to do with me...

People - I am really concerned. I think I shall meditate before going to sleep today, and mentally repeat for five minutes "go to console, switch on god mode".

I really shall stop playing until those weird series of dreams comes to an end. I mean, what the f.ck...!

This reminds me: There should be a coop mission map. And humans can walk on wall tubes to climb higher, so aliens have to decon OM.

I have had one.

I was being chased by a giant  :granger: screaming"don't hurt me, me friend granger' yet he was spitting black darts at me. Then I found a Mass Driver and shot it in the head.

Something similar happened to me, but it wasn't a dream, it was real life.  :-X

I dreamt I saw killerwhale smoking a cigarette in post sex cuddling with a granger, realized I had walked into the wrong room, turned around and left, and walked back into my room where Crava was jacking off to tyrant BJs. Much better.

Well yes indeed,

I've had a dream too!
And I just woke the whole house up with shouting!

I mean I was so absorbed in the game that it even managed to get into my dreams :D

Had another dream of Tremulous a few days ago. Don't exactly remember what it was, but obviously, I need to play less.

For some reason, I am always in the human team in these dreams. As if wallwalking and pouncing wouldn't be fun.

This night, about an hour ago, I dreamed to be in the Portal map with the companion cube. I was just past the two long corridors that the energy pellets travel along, then all of a sudden, Tyrants came in and hunted me! :D
