Hi. I'm new to the Internet and to communicating with people other than my immediate friends, who, as usually happens, know me well enough to basically read my mind, so keywords were sufficient till this day, and punctuation was never an issue. My game name is "avatar" or "avatarmatt". I need Tremulous maps which I intend to put into my "base" folder. Can anyone tell me where I can download some for free?

It's best if you don't manually download maps.  Whenever you need a map to play on a server your client will automatically download it for you, as long as you have "cl_autoDownloads 1".  To do that, open your console using ~, then type "cl_autoDownloads 1".  (It is set to 1 by default in the GPP so don't worry about it)
