What reasons do you play Trem for?

The industry is changing. Unfortunately, just because code is open-source doesn't mean you have the right to edit or redistribute it. Google's lawyers are proving this right now. The terminology we need to start using is "Freedom Software".

I should have said that the meaning of the term, open source, is changing. I'll try and get some bibliography.

Actually, free software may not be open source. "Freedom software" is both free and open source.
