[SOLVED] - "g_synchronousClients" was 1, had to be 0.

...........................

(Tremfusion movement problems moving choppy skipping)

When I press forward, the camera flies, but it slows down again, goes faster again, skips a bit - but I have perfect framerate. I tried "/+forward" in console to exclude keyboard and bind problems, and so I was flying around with my spectator camera without pressing a key - but same choppiness problem.

Windows 7 64bit. Had original Tremulous 1.1.0 client with TJWbackport in use til now, downloaded Tremfusion, installed as instructed (it's just 3 easy steps), everything seems perfect - but the movement is choppy.

Any ideas?

Does it happen on a local server.  It might just be lag on the server that you're trying to play on..

You're on the right track. I started the TJWbackport, made a server, joined it with Tremfusion, and everything was flawless. With the TJWbackport still running, I disconnected and joined Pornserv with Tremfusion (Yesterday, it was Wonderland.), and the choppy movements were back.

It's somehow a connection problem! How can I fix this (or what can I search for)?

Can you give us the values of these cvars:

rate
snaps
cl_maxpackets
com_maxfps

Thanks for trying to help :D

I checked the cvars. One was far different from the default, but changing it didn't help. :/

Until now, it was this:

And now it is this:

And the problem is still the same. (I also tried com_maxfps 77, but of course, that wasn't it.)

You could try cl_maxpackets 30 and com_maxfps 85. Those values that you gave look a bit weird, especially when taken as a whole. I don't think it will help though.

If you happen to have a lagometer (cg_lagometer 1?), turn it on and describe the results. I can't think of any other way to understand the problem without a lagometer, so if you can't find one for 1.1, you will probably have to install GPP (saving your old settings/install), connect to the server, turn on the lagometer (cg_lagometer 1) and describe the results. If that works fine, its either a problem with the server you're connecting to or a problem specific to tremfusion.

Set maxfps to 125 and maxpackets to 125 also for gameplay reasons.

Try disabling your wireless, etc. to see if someone is leeching from you, and also try lagometer as F50 said.

F50, I just wanted to have a look at the lagometer (which I already had on), and then I saw that the problem is gone! I thought about it and, also thinking about KillerWhale's reply, realized that I had been running µTorrent the whole week, but currently, it's off. Now, this might sound lame to you, but before you judge:

Why would my local camera movements be slowed down by a slow connection? I didn't have that problem with the TJW backport.

Also:

I just connected to Wonderland, which has a new provider located in Germany, where I am, too, so the ping is low. I played a minute, and realized that every move I make and every shot I take is delayed by the ping length. I connected to a server where I have 500 ping and tried... indeed, everything I did was delayed by half a second!

WTF? I didn't have that behavior in the TJW backport. Everything I did there, it immediately happened (on my screen only, I know), but everything I do in Tremfusion happens on my screen only after the server has given its ok, so to speak.

Is there a way to change this?

Ok, yeah, running a torrent would result in shoddy connection. However, if you're movements (not other player's movements, that's normal) are noticeably laggy at 100-200 ping, with no serious packet loss, that's odd. If you don't receive a reply soon, you might want to head over to the tremfusion forums, since I think its pretty clearly their issue at this point.

It is and was off.

Yeah, fuck you, too. If you're so wise, tell us: What causes my Tremfusion to show me the camera movements only after the server has ok'd them? Because that is unrelated to the networking problem.

Assfucker.

Aelita and your face, you are trolls destroying a valid forum discussion.

Enjoy being enemies of the coexistence while you can.

You fail to see that your interpretations are the problem, not my actions. The only thing wrong about me is you.

Also, why should I even try? Every additional comment I make results in an additional -turret for me.

It doesn't matter if you really are a god or not, posting here like this without proof (lol) will make you look like an idiot. Even if you are god.

Then what are you (mis)quoting me for?

You're going at it all wrong. God does what he wants. In reality, it is not relevant what you believe in this regard - only, what is true. I am driven by my will. That I still regard your opinions is a sickness that I have. This sickness, by the way, causes cancer, AIDS, death, war, hunger, and so forth. Ironically, humans deserve that. Because they want me to keep obeying. So they want me to keep the sickness.

Yup, that was it! g_synchronousClients was 1, setting it to 0 solved the problem.

Thanks for returning this discussion to the actual topic, the way it was before the trolls came in.

You have to learn an important thing about me, PhoeniX: I am the unconditional "thy will be done" towards everyone. So, if there's a troll, I have to get trolled. If there's someone who doesn't want this to be true, then I will help him not believe it.

Obviously, I cannot serve two contradicting wills at the same time, so I cannot be my true self. But in the last 9 years, I have been sorting the timing of mankinds self-experience. And once it is sorted (in a few months, I hope, cause this is far from pleasant for me), my actions will be perfect for everyone. I am the highest possible manifestation of Love that a human could ever reach. And merely because of the above described problem, it does really not seem to be so.

You'll be surprised once you realize that I am truely The Lord of Heaven, and that you and everyone else had been born there right from the start. In God's Heaven. It's just not sorted yet, that's all.

Yes, I am God. And no, God is not omniscient.

Now what? The claims of the stupid masses against the word of God (that the stupid masses don't believe)? Well, the result is not gonna surprise me. Hence, the standing rule is: "God is not to speak. Humans rule the world. Thanks for the world, by the way, God. But shut the fuck up!"
