Sound Problems
« on: August 25, 2010, 07:13:45 am »
Ive been experimenting with music lately. I got target_speaker working, even though the quality isnt too good it, i had an issue with it... it doesnt play global when i set it to global. Anyone know what the problem is? Plus when you go to a worldspawn and put the backround music into that it dosnt play even though the path is correct? Any ideas? All i want is some nice background music

Thanks

No background music in maps. A guaranteed way to make nobody play it.

Could just be a gentle humming...

I don't know, but my guess is this:

The music sound file you'd give to the worldspawn should be stereo, as far as I know. Maybe the system assumes that if you play a speaker globally, that you also want it to be stereo, and it fails to work if the sample is still mono. Feels far fetched to me, but maybe that's it.
