Transit is a bad map in my opinion, though not by much. Humans start in such a pitiful location that they have to spend all the early game building something halfway decent and not attacking. Once it's done, alien bases location are so weak that the rest of the game will be spent egg hunting. And finaly, aliens sometimes manage to get to stage 3 and the game is back to human camping with little hope of winning ( they couldn't finish the stage 1/2 aliens, why could they do it in stage 3 now with tyrants attacking their base ? And still, some starting locations for human base are so strong that aliens have little chance of winning either. in the end, the team with the more "boredom level" will lose.
Of course, often the game ends at each breaking point :
- humans killed before setting up a base
- aliens killed after humans build a correct base because they forgot to build eggs everywhere
- humans killed a few seconds after aliens reach stage 3 because they were unprepared
That map needs a better starting location, weaker secondary human bases and something must be done about the borring egg hunts. Aliens shouldn't win a game when they spend 20 minutes with 7 grangers, 1 dragoon and an overmind available 5% of the time.
