No new maps in list?

My downloaded maps .pk3 from a random sight Maps are made for tremulous. They are not appearing on my map list When I create a server.

Some people don't bother putting in an Arena file (It's unfortunately quite common), that's probably the issue.

EDIT: I'll just add that there are some Tremulous Map Repos which include Quake 3 maps (I don't know how they got in there and why people don't remove them :S ).

No they are maps that are made by this community. Not by other games. The maps that are like made by ingar, like that map cruz imports. The maps are not showing....

Find the maps name and in your console, type /devmap mapname

Or even better type /devmap [tab] (press tab, don't type that)

Yea I know that. I just cant figure out why it will not show on my mac 10.4.11 and it will show on my dads mac 10.5

Base but nevermind I already deleted the game and reinstalled it.  And it works now.

I just don't see why this community should help him if he refuses to do the simplest of research on mapping. A good mapper should be one that seeks help only when something is genuinely difficult to solve, not for every little problem. He has the tools, he just refuses to use them.
