Got a few questions about the format of this thing though. Is it knockout, or does every team play every team? Also, which maps will be used? And how many rounds constitutes one match?

Anyways, jez, there are 2 rounds of the tournament

Round 1
Round robin.  Every team plays every team. 
2 rounds
Win= 2 pts
Tie = 1pt

This is a time to get to know your team.  If anything is unbalanced, it will be changed during this.

At the end of this round, all teams are seeded (ranked) and put into an elimination bracket for round 2

Round 2
Elimination

No ties.  Matches are best of 3
Seed 1 plays seed 4
And seed 2 plays seed 3


All the maps listed on the official forums are usable, and there is some debate as to whether atcs should be added.

At the end of the tournament, each member of the winning team will receive a $5 donation to the Tremulous Dev team in their name.
