Actually Upgrade Adv.Basi thread.
I know the best trem basi player (inf'Epik) who can get >30 kills with basi leading aliens to S3 and win the game leaving dead hummies in S1-S2. Even he does NOT use adv.basi just because it is a WASTE of EVO points :(.
Fart is useless, annoys, distracts, but not kills. I can aim pretty good while intoxicated from adv.basi fart.

Instead of the fart and weak 25HP boost I propose something new.
Sound cameleon.
 Let adv.Basi make every sound in the game (or every alien sound). Make a scroll list under mouse wheel.
I mean a Basi who could sit arround the corner and make marauder cry noises to lure stupid hummies. Or sit in base and copy Tyrr taunt to scare away human attackers. Or make getting hit sound while retreating, or "Your base is under attack". Make granger purring sound while the egg hunt to distract hummies. Possibilities are endless.
This ability could replace weak not working fart giving the game more tactical edge.

...!.. I went nuts the other day with adv. basi!!! The fart was killing them all. Groups of humans scattered like flies and most of them died...
True that doesn't happen often..
I still can't grab anyone right.. i always get killed when i try.

And... why are you so obsessed with ninja aliens?..
I'm sorry but that suggestion is so uselesss...
Make a basalisk fart taunt.. they will know your a stupid basilisk and be lured!!.. Or just wait until some dretch comes jumping by..

Hmmm, this could be nice, scaring away people from base with the tyr taunt or luring them away during egg hunts would exactly be something which basilisk would be perfect for. Good idea in comparison to most adv basi and adv dretch topics.

No, I dont think so.

Small changes the better:
 - dark skin, the white one make for a perfect target.
 - invisible on radar, doubfull good idea, but will make for a nice class

Basilisk already is pretty much a ownage class versus anything not wearing a Battlesuit. And not even BattleSuits are safe from Basilisks, since they just grab em and let the rest finish it off. Or, even better, grab the Battlesuit, let other Alien have a go at it, then jump on his head and take the last slash:)

I think a better adv basilisk improvement would be if the fart hangs in the air for a about 5 seconds before dissipating, and walking through the cloud triggers its effects. Of course, the basi would only be able to fart once every 10 seconds or so. (maybe as fast as every 6 or 8 seconds) The cloud would also take a second or so to become "active"; it wouldn't be instant like it is now.

What this would allow, is for basilisks to help teammates escape when low on HP. Tyrant's running away with 100 HP? Spray a fart behind him, so that any humans that follow have to go through it and get disoriented, dramitcally improving the chance of survival of that Tyrant.

Also, I think the fart effects have to be rethought. As is, the poison makes you tipsy. Now, I don't know what kind of effects are possible in Tremulous, but large amounts of motion blur would be a much better effect. Instead of just screwing with your crosshair, instead your vision would be so blurry you'd barely be able to SEE the aliens. Basically, a poison that affects your vision in order to decrease your accuracy, instead of simply decreasing your accuracy.

Alternately, the poison cloud should deal poison damage the same was a boosted attack does, in addition to the disorientation.

All you "make better fart/invisible blabbla crap" poeple PLEASE read Lava post. Basi is a walking OWNAGE. We dont need more powerfull basi. We dont need ANY alien to be more powerfull.
 On the other hand making adv.basi more tactical in adv form would be nice for the whole game. It would open doors for new unseen fun situations.

Another example - adv.Basi making "growing" sound to lure hummies.

It would force humans to use BRAIN.

I'm surprised nobody suggested the simplest fix to adv basilisk... make it shoot trapper projectiles , that would fit its role.

If anything, please fix the buggy grab. That alone would make the basilisk the best it could be, when it could actually be used how its supposed to. ( I don't see marauders shorting out because they blew a fuse, etc etc. )

If I have to suggest an addition to the adv. basilisk.. I'd say make the class invisible to radar while being still. Once it moves, pop it right back on the radar.

Good idea exept for at the end of the game. Some guy just needs to find a dark corner, evo to adv basi and wait there, then wait there forever because noone can find him. Would be hell in big maps like Transit.

I still think the fart cloud should have a much longer reload time, but hang in the air for a while. That trapper projectile idea would be cool too, but I don't see the point... :/ Why trap them from a distance when you're just going to walk up to them and grab them anyway?

If they end up changing the fart's effects I thought it could add a "double vision" effect so that you end up with two indepentant wobbling views (And it might even make a serious fps hit that would increase it's effectiveness)

also it should have proper booster poisen

I agree with the Cling idea.

If anything, the Adv.  Basi should get a short-rang ability much like the mara-zap that aids its purpose.  Such as, shooting a short range spit at a human will pull you twords the human and land right in paralyzation range, for perscision grabs and quick grabs.  The adv. basilik will actually have an ability that is and evolution and improvement, of the orignal basilisk, and not just a random ability.

This will make the Adv.  Basi worthy of a basalisk, and yet worthy of an S2 evolution.  Everything else stays the same however.

Speaking of the booster poison, I think it should have a green flash instead of a red one. I once thought someone was TKing me because I was poisoned.

EDIT: Now I come to read this back, I sound like a comlete n00b. What I meant was, it would be obvious to a real soldier the difference. And applying the medkit is easy enough once you know you're poisoned.

Technically, you can't hide in tremulous  because of the lighting, no matter what you stand against, you will not change. :(
