That should be the common "entity without brush" bug. Just select your whole map and copy it to a empty map file. That should work.

It's not a bug it's the result of foolishness.

Hold Shift and Click&Drag over your map to select everything, then hit "File>Save Selected".

...or you could press l, and find the entity without a brush, and press delete...
