of course, after S1 they hit a comparatively low ceiling in terms of effectiveness like the dretch.

Ohai, I'm reviving this thread to tell a funny story. I was trolling the newbie server* back in the days of 1.1 and felt like playing basilisk. The game went on for one hour of which about 30 minutes was s3 vs s3. At the end of the game I was the top fragger with something north of 50 kills and was still using the same basilisk I'd evolved to after my first kill (no deaths).

I'm not sure how much they fucked up the new basilisk but something tells me this is a PEBCAK issue.

*They had a stripped player setting that made good players max out at goon / light armor + shotgun. Good players also only did 10 % damage to buildings. Oh yeah and only the 75 hp normal evolution was available.

they buffed the basi for 1.2, only nerf at all was a health reduction, but thats balanced off with superfast healing.

tldr; exept for first post.

@ topic creator: I like the idea but that totally eliminates the "turret circling strategy" from trem as dretches now can't attack rets.
