On alien's wrath server, there's a welcoming message "protect your name today" or something like that, and then there's a little obscure address. I downloaded new .exe from there, but then i got suspicious. It would be very easy to fool noobs like me to download it, and if it was a spyware/trojan, i see unlimited possibilities. Any comments?

You're right to be suspicious, but I think Alien's Wrath is an honest server.

You should probably ask what it's for on their server, it might not even be worth installing.

I'm also presuming you've already run scans on it?

I'd try it myself, but I'm running Linux.

Well, if you say so. That server looked to be pretty good and honest, but that's why i started to think abt it. This may sounds silly but safety is priority.

I suggest not accept any .exe, except is expected.  
Even if people is honest, virus obviusly can steal the identity of other people, and fake "Hello, see this photo, is cool!.. pamela.jpg.exe" from your honest friend.
NEVER EVER execute something that is push to you from a random website/server.  

Of course, you can request info to the admin of this server. And If you trush this people, run the file. But the trust needed to run something alike needs to be HUGE. I doubt is a good idea: delete it now.

TJW is a server admin residing on these forums aswell..
I see no reason to be suspicious.

the TJW binarys are clean, but you should still scan them, his server could have been infected, or any one of the computers it will pass on its way to you.

The reason we encourage the use of TJW's is that it generates a unique ID for the Player with which we can make sure that nick-lamer have no chance with us.

@David, while it is generally a good idea to scan for virii (Please don't install MC-Affee for that, it's no good & dangerous) I strongly doubt that anyone would go all the way to do a MIM while the files are being downloaded .)
