GameTracker.com Needs a Tremulous Classification
« on: February 23, 2011, 08:25:05 pm »
GameTracker.com tracks server statistics for many games, and gives users nifty things like server status images.
Here's the one for BloodBath's Tremulous 1.1 server BB:

They need to give Tremulous it's own classification instead of Quake 3.

Go to the GameTracker forums and ask for this!
Click here to register, and respond to this topic about the matter: http://www.gametracker.com/games/q3/forum.php?thread=50727

Tremstats only shows official servers and Tremranks is no more afaik, so please do it now!

I was planning on making a "TremTracker" as part of master.tremulous.net, but I never did.
I do have 5 minutely snapshots going back two years though, if anyone wants to make such a thing.
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

I'm disappointed that people's past actions have forced me to state what should be obvious.

Let me clarify, GameTracker needs a Tremulous classification instead of Quake3, because some Quake 3 players complain about seeing Tremulous servers in their server lists. If they don't give Trem it's own classification, they're likely to remove Tremulous servers altogether and I do not want that to happen!

Also, does master.tremulous.net and tremstats have any kind of feature documentation?

Are the people at GameTracker so unreasonable?

Isn't it just as easy to differentiate and then reclassify as it is to differentiate and then delete?
