Defensive Structures' Ranges/Lines of Sight/Area of Effect

Is there an up-to-date (GPP) guide on the ranges of the various defensive structures?  :acidtube:  :hive:  :tesla:  :trapper:  :turret:

I recall a while back a few images of the line of sight of trappers and such but I can't find it and it was for 1.1 anyway.

Also would there be anyway to show this visually in-game? It would be useful in devmap but I also think it would help newbies figure out how to make a more efficient base faster. If a trapper's line of sight is shown they might be less likely to build it on the floor and if an acid tube range is shown they wouldn't build it way up high on the ceiling (hopefully).

It is helpful but I'm more of a visual learner for most things as I am sure others are as well.
Also that information doesn't really tell me when the structures become useful. Sometimes you can be less than a foot away from an acid tube and actually SEE the acid tube but because of the way the bounding boxes are (I'm guessing) you don't get hurt AT ALL. Edit: this is usually when you are around the corner from an acid tube.

To my knowledge the buildables target/damage you when the middle of the hitbox "sees" you, not counting the tesla generator, which quote:

  • fires from the top of its bounding box to the top of its target's bounding box (can now fire over turrets)

IIRC 30° (someone wiser confirm).
