Just for a reminder, the times on the page at least according to the news item are GMT +0. Not to attack anyone but we've had quite a few scrims canceled due to some people not realising what timezones mean and in which timezone they are, especially because of the daylight saving time, so:

Check your timezone from here http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/.

The first match will be tomorrow between GT and NoS. We've scheduled it a little earlier so that we can have all four members of the inner council in the opening round of the tournament. Probably between 4-6 EST on the Brindus server.

I don't know about GT or NoS skill level, but I can tell NoS are by far the most charismatic ones.

A slight change of events has occurred. Do not be alarmed. Only a couple of groups are affected and the others will proceed normally.

  • NoS was not able to make it to the match today. We love NoS, but there's a slight problem. They are inactive and scattered across every single time zone.
  • Sir| is more or less dead. Menace will decide tomorrow if they will drop out, or if they will compete on a rescheduled day.
  • If I'm not mistaken, {261} and 'eH are currently on standby to replace NoS and Sir|
  • The matches involving NoS and Sir| will be rescheduled to either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. After Wednesday if none of the matches have occurred, the replacement games will be on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
  • Round two of the tournament will take place, as scheduled, next Sunday.
  • Substitutes will be allowed for the first two weeks only under extreme circumstances while groups get their shit together. The substitutes must be approved by the Trem Clan Council. Discuss any use of substitutes over IRC at least one day prior to the scheduled match.
  • If you cannot make it to a match, tell us and we will reschedule it. If you are a no-show more than twice in a row, your group will be dropped out of the tournament.
  • The group that was ready while the other one didn't show up will not be penalized.

The following matches will go on as scheduled tomorrow:

2011-06-26 20:00 | :CaD: vs .oP:
2011-06-26 20:00 | .ddos vs DSPro

The following matches have been postponed until the first three days of next week:

2011-06-26 20:00 | =Pk:| vs Sir|
2011-06-26 20:00 | GT vs NoS

If Sir| and NoS do not show up, they will be replaced by eH and {261} respectively.

If eH and {261} decide not to compete, GT will face off against Pk. An even number of groups will be maintained in either case.

We're off to a rocky start, but I'm optimistic. People are excited for the matches that will take place. Let's see how it goes.

Honestly, I don't think it should be rescheduled. Just my input.

I made it quite clear that matches could only be moved up. Your birthday was a fixed date and if you wanted to make the match, you merely had to go on IRC where Dracone and Yarou are usually always idling and request an alternate date. If your team doesn't make the first match and CaD produces the members, you will automatically forfeit the round.

Moreover, timeliness is key--depending on the severity of the lateness, time penalties may be enacted.

Just so people don't have similar problems, it's best for the clans involved in upcoming matches to agree on match times together and sort out what that means in each of your timezones. I relied on the match starting at 20:00 GMT and by the time I got online I found it had occurred at 18:00 GMT. This was perhaps a special case, as yarou apparently wanted to get it over with but it does highlight the issue of not getting online early and establishing the situation.

Just to clarify, the default match time is every Sunday 20:00 GMT.
However, clans may reschedule days or hours earlier than that if they both have enough.
Sorry if this wasn't clear enough.

Here goes a brief summary of today whatever time it is to you.
Code: [Select]
:CaD: vs. 7th   == 4-0 (flawless victory)
{261} vs. ^Pk   == 3-1 (pretty hard-earned victory)
.ddos vs. DSPro == ∞-0 (forfeit of DSPro) (or at least nobody told me of any possible rescheduling when I asked)
You can reach the demos I recorded pretty easily. The server is located in France.
I also have them on Dropbox, but well, I cannot for some reason link to them.

Looking forward to the remaining matches!

Qrntz sent me the demos via dropbox.  So far, I only have one output video: 261 vs PK on Niveus.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gc9kL2Snu_8  <-- It's an exciting game, and please make sure to watch in HD if your GPU allows.  Any other res really does the game a disservice.

lol, I got more action on CaD vs 7th actually, it was more dynamic, but I'm waiting for Duck to do that one as well.
And Thanatos was campy.

Guess who you forgot in the final skill calculation? Why the NoAccel man! Our skill tops the tourney! :police:
