Just started, so which clan?

Hi, I just downloaded tremulous I just want to know what are the best clans for new users and why?

I guess this will be helpful for me and others so thanks to anyone who can help.

If I would be you, I would recommend first to learn the gameplay of Tremulous. Once you've played total of 24-40 hours, you should check websites of different clans. Then, check irc to see if there is any of clan members, and ask a bit, are they accepting fresh meat.

Probably someone has better instructions, but I would do it this way.

Even the lower tiered clans won't take in someone completely new. Your best bet is to play for a week or two before considering joining a clan. Besides, over that week or so in addition to learning about the game, you'll be learning who the clans are and who they have as members. Sometimes it's not so much about skill as it is about networking. Try to make friends with people on Tremulous.

or you can avoid joining a clan, as i do.  seems to me a "new" clan with pretty much the same old faces pops up every other month or so.  clans, to me, are pointless if they are passing members back and forth, and you can usually spot at least one person sporting 3-4 different tags anytime you join us1.

Joining a clan is pretty much out of the question until you become a known member of the community. Every clan has its own personality, and by the time they know you, you will have a good idea of who to join. You probably don't want to be in a clan that will accept you in your first week.

dont doubt it for an instant.  it's just not very visible to me, when the flavor of the month clans are.
