Most important: Keep at it! I want to see a (near) finished version in your next post. :)

Secondary objectve: Try setting the faces of those rounder parts to 'shade smooth' rather than pumping it full of polygons. You'll get a less smooth edge but that's a small price to pay. Try to keep detail as flat as possible against a simpler model so that it can be baked on.

You can also use the subsurf and bevel modifier instead of applying it.

Dont make a model that someone already made, then were you done, you might just get copy rights.   :-\ for copying someones idea

Plus he already made it.

Just a tip in modeling with other peeps concepts...   ;)

It's clear to anyone who cares, that Shogan is using Stannum's concepts for practice purposes. I don't think Stannum is going to kick up a fuss about what is effectively fan art and even then you have more to fear from hurt feelings than criminal damages.

By the way, it looks like you've confused the proportions of the concept such that the gun is significantly shorter and possibly wider in your model. The result is that the pipe on the side of your model looks much smaller than it should.

Another updated, decided to work on it a little. Not much of a change, but before I made it slimmer.
