Wrong .md3 version

So I am trying to get this model to work for a gun, but I keep getting an error stating it is "the wrong version". It says the model I am using is version [insert long 10 digit number here] but it should be version 5.

Help?

Volt

What exporting script are you using? and what version of blender?

Shifty

Im using the latest blender 2.59. Its a project I dumped ages ago, Im trying to get the models working again, but I exported them with an old .md3 script I had before, and they worked then. But so far all I have been able to do is clean up my organisation of the files and stuff, I cant see what the problem might be with the models because I cant find a .md3 importer/exporter script for the lastest version of blender =/ (If you could help me there too that would be nice:P)

Volt

A few modelers I was working with ran into this problem. I'm not sure if these scripts are the ones i sent to them to fix the problem, but give them a try #link. I'll contact my modelers later today and get some updated scripts if those don't work, If you need help hit me up on Irc.

Shifty

IRC? :P I couldn't get that to work. Also I just downgraded to python 2.49b as I am much more familiar with that.

Most if not all 2.49 scripts won't work with 2.59.

For anyone else having this problem, it's currently pretty easy to import the .md3 into Blender 2.49 (yes, the old one) using the supplied scripts, then save a .blend to use in Blender 2.5x. Now if someone wants to write a new md3 importer for 2.5... please do!
