Heres a great one for you. If you bring down the console and type /quit it causes all of the other players in the game to gain more enjoyment. Good eh?

He is not annoying, he's right you know.
Glitches in Multiplayer Games are called bugs and what does any Admin do with a buguser?
Riiight, he gets the boot.

So instead of attacking him you should be gratefull he gave you that hint and saved you a kick/ban. :)

There's the fake flamer glitch. Nearly hamrless.
urphy's rules of combat
8 ) Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at.
18 ) Make it too tough for the enemy to get in and you can't get out.

Well, there're a few glitches that are not a reason for ban but they give some advantage.

The first one is Advance Marauder one-zap kill which happens on a little more stressed servers when you zap only single naked human. The glitch is caused by imperfect server timing and rounding of zap damage resulting in 100hp damage dealt instead of 80hp you should deal to a naked human.

The second glitch is inability to toggle items when you completely run out of ammo. It's caused by forgotten flag so the game thinks you're still shooting while it's not true. And since you can't toggle items while shooting, you have only 25% chance your toggle will work (there's a small time window once every 4 server frames when the weapon timer is <= 0 and you can toggle something). This one can be really nasty.

The third glitch is the "turret in a box" bug. When you build a building very close to some obstacle, the model might draw below the actual hitbox so there's an invisible barrier above the model and attacking the model does not make any damage to the structure.

All those 3 bugs are fixed in SVN and I suggest that server admins who still run 1.1.0 Tremulous server only with the essential security/crash patches should consider updating the server.
If my answer to your problem doesn't seem helpful, it means I won't help you until you show some effort to fix your problem yourself!

The third glitch is the "turret in a box" bug.

There are plenty like that. You get the boosters that have their hitbox above their model (particularly confusing for dretches who find they can now 'enter' the booster and have to jump to get it to work). You get turrets that can be placed inside each others hitbox.

These seem to be caused by special locations near higher platforms.

My personal fave is the 'node in four barrels' bug. It's absolutley useless but looks pretty. =)

How's about that 'alien in a battlesuite' bug? Will that be fixed? I hope so.. those fecking things are noisily confusing.

much more useful is the same bug on a hovel (atcs) that makes it much better than a barricade in pretty much every possible way.

Ok let's plan it out. Asva, you are nub, go sit on rets, I will build, you two go feed like hell, you go pwn their asses, and everyone else camp in the hallway, roger?

Fixed by TJW some time ago.

My favorite all time ban-able glitch i figured out on my own was the wall of infinate acid.

I build a hovel on the track of the door in Transit that leads into the main train room from the 3 large human platforms leading to the orignal base for hummies.  Its the door that opens up on the bottom.

Well, buidling a hovel there on the track, causes the hovel to explode whlist the door attempts to close underneath it.  A glitch happens where the hovel constantly explodes infinatly, so it effectly creates an impassible force-field for the human team, because even if a Bsuit walks into the wall of exploding acid, 2-3 seconds later he gets melted  8)

I woldnt reccomend doing it on any server.  You'll prolly get banned for it.

I am actually starting to wonder what actually causes this one - No matter what server I play on I can always one zap kill unarmoured humans.

It's caused by wrong assumption about timing. Quake3 server runs at 20 frames per second. That means 50ms between frames. Somebody assumed that the number will never change. In every frame, the zap deals a bit of damage. For single target it means 4hp per frame. However, that number is calculated as floting-point value dependent on the timing and it's ceiled rather than rounded. When the time between two frames gets to 51ms instead of 50, the 4.00hp changes to 4.08hp and it's ceiled to 5hp. Run that 20 times over and you get 100hp instead of 80.

It should be fixed on servers running newer TJW builds.

The all-time best glitch was grangers could go invisible by entering a hovel then deconstructing it. Obviously that one got fixed before release.

You can run around with no weapon by buying a gun then selling it before it appears on your HUD. If this hasn't been fixed already it will be soon.

Only easter egg I can think of right: look very carefully at the advanced marauder's skin (on its head I think).

Yes, the mara skin has the cheat code that has a similar effect to "IDFA" in doom - notice how you have all weapons at once when you type it? (scrollwheel to change weapon). This is an old Q3 cheat - it was on the bottom of the left boot of the "stripe" player model with the default skin, you could normally only see it when a player with that model fied (and fell over).
