Dedicated Server Setup: Friendly Fire on Structures
« on: August 13, 2006, 07:48:46 pm »
Is there any documentation on setting up a dedicated server?

Wonko and I are slowly setting up a dedicated server of our own and we're running into some hurdles trying to configure it the server the way we'd like to.    Specifically right now, we're not finding how to enable Friendly Fire on base structures.

Any documentation, FAQs, etc.. you can direct us to would be appreciated.

On a side note: It seems that there is lots of information scattered about the forums and other places,  would you anyone be interested if Wonko and I also decided to host a wiki for Tremulous?

Unfortunately, that admin guide is more of a "best practices" to running a server.    It lacks the specific "technical" configuration  we were after.

Thankfully, Wonko's something of a genious and decided to go poking around in the source and found the setting we were after.

For the purpose of future server-admins with similar questions that setting is:

g_friendlyBuildableFire = "1"
