move to us
us is puluted. Where i live, i can see about 30-50+km before i start to notice the water vapour/air pollution.
When i went to chicago... sheesh thats like only 10 km...
you live relatively near one of the largest deserts on earth. likely on the seaward side of a continental divide.
chicago is in the temperate interior of the north american continent, where warm, moist, air from the carribian mixes with cool, dry, air from the arctic. this produces a lot of condensing moisture, aka: clouds and fog.
in addition, chicago sucks.
where i live, also on the seaward side of a continental divide, i can see for a great many miles. near the arid deserts of the west coast, visibility is even greater. ask someone who lives in arizona or new mexico to what distance the rocky mountains are visible.
