I noticed that the only original(!) 3D model is teslagen. Others are original tremulous models interpolated and rendered in a modeling software.

but why not simply change the name, change up the models more, and just call it a "spiritual" successor of tremulous or somesuch, so you don't have to deal with all this name/copyright/trademark junk going on?
Well, for example another good name "trem" is trademarked, but "tremulous". Our selected name "tremulous" have one additional reason, and if it will be really needed, we will change name to anything else.

Please try to interpolate dretch and show me same result. And remember your words when you will see our videos with modeling process.

i have a good feeling about it particularly because kharnov is not involved with it. :D
kharnov in particular is a very good project leader. From the mod projects I've seen so far the degree of structured development in Unvanquished is outstanding. Most notably there have been alpha releases at the start of every month for nearly a year now, each showing significant progress. Many free games and mod projects don't even survive long enough to release playable footage at all (as a level designer you've probably made the same experience).

Something I did a few years ago in less than 30 minutes.

vcxzet: where you spent 30 minutes? It still looks blocky.

Those are texture seams you can get rid of them with some more work.
IIRC I just upscaled the texture and added some noise texture as a detail shader.
So, you paid attention to a few more points. However, texture of your dretch looks low resolution and blurry.
Anyway, my point stays valid; only original model so far is the teslagen.

i wish you the best of luck with this project, it looks very nice. i have a good feeling about it particularly because kharnov is not involved with it. :D

i'm going to go out on a limb here, and guess it is because there are no original bones in anyone involved bodies.

Looks are debatable

i dont wanna bitch about UV  here, but what the hell is that even supposed to be?  that's even more fugly that the rant i remember.  and not in a good way.

fugly
not that bad really ... http://media.moddb.com/images/articles/1/114/113779/qTjj3h.jpg
that's no trem rant.  that looks to be a WH40k carnifex shrunk down and crossed with a 'nid warrior breed of some kind.

and while the quality of the work is not bad, it is a fucking ugly interpretation of a tyrant.

i'll continue to criticize the art if you like, in one of the tremz/unvanq threads.  here, we're supposed to tell this dude what a rube he is for this entire "tremulous 2" malarky.

You know rotacak, upon telling amz181 today that I had played GPP in the past, he went offline on Steam, I don't know if he blocked me or just did it as a prank. I hope this doesn't happen with Tremulous 2 if I play it. Also he will go apeshit if it resembles GPP rather than 1.1 as you claim.

Will you accept pre-orders now cause I'll be more than willing to pay for it.

I would also recommend that you allow the game be sold through Steam, so you can get a good amount of pocket change.

Oh and one other thing, good luck and I hope it was worth it.
