when I go to play it and click on play it crashes and plays the starting music repetitively and dose not respond
I'm not an expert, but I did have issues with the macintosh when I used one...
Few questions
1. Crash: With error message? Black screen? Auto-Exit with no trace?
2. Plays music repetitively: A fraction of the music (usually one second exactly)? Or does it do the full 15 second loop?
3. Doesn't Respond: Sort of related to "1" but did you mean the game and/or the mouse or the computer? (Or maybe something else?)
When troubleshooting, you need to be more specific.
Another thing, for some reason GPP had trouble running on the macintosh that I had, but tremfusion (an "updated" client for tremulous 1.1) worked perfectly fine for me.
I ended up fixing my problems by I think, forcing windowed mode with a custom resolution. I usually play windowed mode anway...
Try using the terminal, use the "cd" command to change the directory to the one you're executing Trem from (includes going into the .dmg file as well), and do ./<.app name here> +seta r_fullscreen 0
