Tremulous on OSX 10.9.5 (Mavericks)

Has anyone updated Tremulous so it will run current versions of OSX? 

I downloaded the tremulous-gpp1.dmg (version 1.2) and tried running it without success.

It starts to load, the screen goes dark and then tremulous aborts.
