Extra precautions to prevent accidental structure delete.
« on: August 19, 2006, 10:35:10 pm »
This post is made from my bad luck yesterday.  >.<

The "delete" structure key should operate differantly.
It could set as a "double press", or "hold for a few second" before the building is deleted. Preventing accedental deletions and making your team lose... Or getting banned by a admin.

Also it wouldn't hurt moving the default "delete" bind away from the "wasd" keys. for the beginners's sakes.

Like I said in another thread I will addsome improvements to ckit ....as soon as my patches start to appear in the svn :/ There is no point me coding when my code gets rejected/missing in action.

I think it would help a lot if you had to initially bind a key to "deconstruct" in order to actually make use of it.

It would keep noobs from deleting the reactor while pressing random buttons, and would complicate things for those builders who, shall we say, prefer to place trappers on the floor.

Instead of improving the Ckit, one could always try on improving itself first.
