Slightly offtopic: Distribution-licence for the maps

Hi everyone,

hence I'm on the development for our clan-site, and also interested to host some maps for download, I would like to ask, which is the distribution-licence for your maps.

I already got the kind permission from Xiane, to mirror his maps for dl.

The dl-place would be http://www.cu-clan.net/downloads/maps/, while the layout of the page is a work-in-progress.

The "Maps in the next version" sticky says that any maps that want to be included need to be Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5

Of course, that is only for maps that want to be included...  I know mine does, whenever it gets finished.

Mappers should include a text file hinting at the license in their zip/pk3 file. Usually it is the creative commons license or even GPL. If no license is included in the map archive the author obviously has not thought about it or even does not care what happens to his work. You should treat these mappers as if they had included the creative commons license and mention the developer's name (if known).

Of course, you are allowed to distribute Beyond Derelict or any other maps I may create in the future. I use the creative commons license.
