Summation of all posts:
Everyone wants to be a mod. Megabite has a good ammount of supporters.

... Are there any people timbo that you might want to limit this list down to for nominations.. I guess the main choice is up to you not some vote, but I don't think the way this is going helps out much.

But other than that, can we keep the nominations down to people who are here a lot anyway, who plan on being here for a long time, or have been here for a long time, and are not some raging delete crazed speach nazi. Maybe i'm wrong, but I think thats what he wants.. and hot babes..

.. also if you want to state your support for me outright you can too.. My post does enclude all of you, so noone has to feel left out, but timbo might think i'm kidding.. I'm around basically all day.. I'm one of the few people who read the post timbo made a while ago that mods aren't post nazi's, I have a clan i'm dedicated to so I will be here for a long time.

EDIT(just for the sake of not double posting):
I've also noticed some mods around when there is spam floating around.. Not singling any 1 person out.. its happened several times.. Its hard to notice sometimes if your not around and keeping up with the posts.

Okay... I just want to do some last post in this thread and seriously name the guys I think are capable of handling a moderator job here.
These names are not a list of personal likes or dislikes but just a reflection of what I have seen of those people by now and how I guess they would do as a moderator.

I guess these people (in no particular order) would do fine: DarkWolf, Paradox, Mario, Basilisco, Stof, PIE (although I am still wondering which posts he was talking about I would like to have locked because I am tired of them...  )

The following accounts now have moderation abilities: [db@]Megabite, Basilisco, Paradox, Stof and PIE.

Basic moderating guidelines:
  • Do not lock topics/delete posts lightly. Less moderation is more.
  • Lock threads/delete content of topics containing illegal/offensive material (Pornography/Warez/Cracks).
  • Swearing and moderate insults are allowed, do NOT moderate this.
  • Delete discussion of game cheats/bug exploits. Forward information to developers if it is a new exploit.
  • Suggest cessation of excessive flame wars (by which I mean those which have degraded to insults only), then lock the topic if it does not return to being on topic within a few posts.
  • Lock spam bot topic on sight. Record the account name and posting IP address then forward to one of Timbo, jex or Who-[Soup]. Once you have done this you may optionally delete the topic entirely.
  • If you have any doubts, ask one of the developers.

Thankyou and good luck ;).

can you lock belier13's account? or rename it to belend13?
or just shoot him.
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

My words are mine and mine alone.  I can't speak for anyone else, and there is no one who can speak for me.  If I ever make a post that gives the opinions or positions of other users or groups, then they will be clearly labeled as such.
I'm disappointed that people's past actions have forced me to state what should be obvious.
I am not a dev.  Nothing I say counts for anything.

I thought you fought zombies with salt? mmmmm, salt! *drool*
or, as i saw in the british comedy "Shawn of the dead" they can be stopped by "Removing the head, or destroying the brain."

You DID shoot him in the head, didn't you Pie? please?
