What does basilisk gas do?
« on: November 21, 2015, 08:29:17 pm »
I keep spraying this stuff at the enemy yet nothing seems to happen. I've never been sprayed with it either, so I have no idea of its actual use. Does anyone mind explaining?  :basilisk:

Gas doesn't work if the human is wearing a helmet or battlesuit.

If they are not wearing the aforementioned items of defensive apparel you get poisoned by the
lovely gas and
your camera goes all wibbly wobbly, making it near impossible to shoot with any accuracy.

That seems pretty interesting, I wonder why no one except me seems to use it. :-\

Correction:
Gas doesn't work on a human that is wearing light armour or a battlesuit.
It's a bug where the developers made a silly flagging error that is easily fixable. It might be fixed on some 1.1 servers and it isn't on most.

Test7341 uses a 1.2 GPP style gameplay and in that gas works on all humans regardless of armour thoguh there is no damage and the disorientating effect is shorter.

I actually got sprayed with the stuff today, interesting how the construction kit's accuracy is thrown off too. I'd have thought it'd only affect guns that could do damage. :o
