Just so Timbo has an idea of whats going on...

There was a post on the Natural Selection (HL mod) forums, claiming this mod has ripped off NS textures. It's already been explained whats really going on over there, so I dont think you'll need to worry about an influx of accusations. Just a misunderstanding.

And look at me, the n00b here. I'm kinda happy that post happened, as this looks awesome. Just played with the walwalk code, and it's really great. Cant wait to see this released!

I've talked to Flayra a couple of times in the past few years.

First time was after he wrote an article for Game Developer talking about innovative mods. One of them being Gloom. Nice guy and a hard worker. Iv'e seen some of the work in NS and it's pretty incredible that it's a mod.

I also corresponded with someone that runs the  Readyroom about 18 months ago. They too were very nice and even supportive about Tremulous.

I couldn't resist posting because a co-worker who is into NS told me about the thread.

Glad the thread happened, since I wouldn't have heard about this mod. Looking forward to seeing how it plays.

As for Sandy the HL hater, I like HL and CS a lot. As with all games you get your share of inmature kids playing, which is why you find a group of mature people to play with and stick with that group.

Not knowing much about Q3, played it a while ago, I would say that it is nice having intergrated voice comm, and I hope that Q3 will / has done something similar.

Will start reading about the mod, and if it is Linux capadable let me know, because I may be able to set you up with a server for MP testing.

But there is always some moany idiot that goes out of his way to spoil the game.  I suppose the same thing happens in quake 3, the odd player swears a lot about lag/warping/falling damage :)

The mod is linux capable, however will probably not have voice comms, that is usually up to the playing team in question to organise.

Intergrated voice is one of the best things a game could have. I hope the companies that develop game engines understand that one day. Voice is another reason that HL has been prolonged. I wish that BF1942 had it.

When you are ready let me know and I will see about getting you a server.
