error: Server uses protocol version 69 (linux)
« on: August 26, 2006, 03:09:21 pm »
Hi,

I'm using gentoo, binary quake 1.32c and tremulous 1.0.2 - while connecting to server, tremulous dies with message, which looks like the one in the topic tittle. I've turned PunkBuster on. Tremulous launched on q3 from icculus.org svn behaviours in the same way. How can I get connected?

You are still using the old tremulous version. 1.1.0 is the most recent one.

If it's your distro package, fill a bug report with them.

You are using the Q3-Mod instead of the standalone.
There is no need to file a bug, just install the standalone version.

Yes he should file a bug. They shouldn't keep outdated packages like that in their distribution.

Strange, I thought up till now that tremulous was not in the standard ebuild repositories, as I've seen only 3rd party ebuilds, but I might be wrong.

Best is imho to grab the source :)

Yep, u're right - they should refresh these ebuilds. 1.10 works fine :)
