Bounty Hunting

I had an idea earlier. People have been saying about a "credit overflow" system or possibly something similar, like when you get 2000 credits you "donate" credits into a team 'pool' for late joiners. What about making people work for their credits?

For this example, I will be using UltraL33T1, JoinedL4te, OtherPlayer and DragoonMan. All ordinary players.

UltraL33T1 gets killed by a group of two dragoons.

Ultra types /bounty DragoonMan 360

This sets a bounty on DragoonMan's head for 360 credits.

JoinedL4te follows OtherPlayer out the base. They catch a goon (DragoonMan) trying to sneak in and kill him. JoinedL4te did the most damage and thus gets most of the credits. However, OtherPlayer did quite a bit of damage too. He still gets credits but less than JoinedL4te because he did less damage.

And you can imagine, it works similarly for the aliens (mabey some slight ajustments to make it a bit more alien friendly).

There should, obviously, be a limit imposed on the number of credits you can offer up for bounty at once. We dont want to have players putting in all there credits / evo all at once. And possibly a limit as to how many bountys are on at once? So, say for example, an entire team cant bounty the whole of the other team. Mabey just two players symaltaniously should be enough.

Also, this isnt meant to be an incentive for an entire team to try and kill just one player. It's about revenge, giving the person who kills that player a little reward, teamwork, etc. Thats also one reason for the limitations, to stop an entire team from just trying to kill one person.

It's like, the rewards are small enough to help you out, mabey buy you a helmet / make you evo or something, but worth at least attempting to go after.

It could be great, it's just getting the balance right really.

And if not put into Trem (which probably happens to 99.98% of the ideas on here) I for one think it would make a good mod.

Anyway, tell me what you think. Please ask if you need anything explaning a bit clearer or in more detail and I will reply when I can.

There are some other slight things to this but it's 9:07 am here and I need breakfast. Mabey I'll edit this / post again later with the other ideas.

well theres a good and bad side to it:

good: a good way for new ppl to earn credits early

bad: don't blame us if u see humies rushing in with lasguns and chainguns 2 minutes into the game

-It takes no skill to use a chaingun. It takes plenty of skill to master it.

Yea, I just told my idea to some people in-game and they said practically the same thing.
I'm starting to have second thoughts about it. I'm not too sure I'de want all hummies with chainguns and aliens who are all dragoons 2 minutes in. It could be fixed by nerfing it more than I'de originally posted, but then it would be just pointless.

I'm thinking, mabey it's the wrong genre for Trem if you get what I mean.

Getting fairly tired with all these 'new' suggestions.

Why don't you click me, who don't you use me?
